Discover one of Colombia's most exciting varieties with Garza Coffee : Chiroso , grown in Urrao, Antioquia . This exceptional coffee plant became known for its victory at the Cup of Excellence Colombia and has been captivating the specialty coffee world ever since.
Named after the elongated shape of the bean and the particular growth of the plant, Caturra Chiroso offers a unique cup profile : floral notes, a full body – stronger than Gesha – and a complex, sweet aroma that lingers long on the palate.
Our Caturra Chiroso comes from Finca Las Brisas , which has been growing coffee since 2017. Luis, the owner, gave up his job as a social worker to pursue his passion for sustainable coffee cultivation. Located in the mountains of Antioquia, the farm was formerly a dairy and potato farm. Today, 60% of it is registered as a nature reserve and part of Colombia's network of "civil society reserves."
