We returned from our sourcing trip to Colombia full of enthusiasm. On site, we were able to experience firsthand the dedication, precision, and creativity that goes into the coffees that are now part of Garza Coffee .
We were particularly impressed by the work of Juan Puerta and Geraldine , the two founders of Sens Coffee and producers of Apricot OD and Azahar OD coffees. Their approach to fermentation and flavor development represents a new generation of Colombian coffee landscapes.
Armenia, Quindío – living coffee tradition

Armenia is located in the Quindío Department, one of Colombia's most famous coffee regions. For decades, this region has been known for its strong coffee culture and high-quality specialty coffees.
Coffee here isn't just a product, it's a part of everyday life. This deep connection is palpable on the streets, in the city's cafes, and above all, in the way coffee is grown and processed. The quality of production is exceptional – precise, clean, and consistent.
Finca La Sirena – where creativity meets craftsmanship

The heart of Sens Coffee 's work is Finca La Sirena . A beautiful farm full of color, life and energy, where hard agricultural work is combined with a creative and innovative approach.
Juan Puerta and Geraldine don't develop their coffees by chance – they deliberately create flavor profiles . Alongside working with local fruits during co-fermentation, they develop complex sensory concepts that respect the coffee's character while simultaneously reinterpreting it.
Sens Coffee and osmotic dehydration
A key feature of Sens Coffee 's work is osmotic dehydration . This controlled process makes it possible to stabilize aromas, create clarity in the cup, and produce exceptionally clean and complex coffees.
This method, among others, shapes the Garza Coffee Apricot OD and is a clear sign of the deep technical and sensory understanding behind every single lot.
Spice Cosmic – Exotic Coffee of the Year 2025
A particular highlight is Spice Cosmic , which was awarded Exotic Coffee of the Year in the Quindío in 2025 .
This coffee has a special significance: It is the first coffee developed by Geraldine and marks an important milestone in the history of Sens Coffee .
Spice Cosmic will soon be part of Garza Coffee 's coffee range – as an expression of our passion for innovative, bold and forward-thinking coffees.
Garza Coffee & Sens Coffee – Origin with a Stance

For Garza Coffee, origin means more than just a geographical location. It's about relationships, transparency, and a shared understanding of quality. This philosophy is precisely what connects us with Sens Coffee .
Coffees like the Apricot OD , developed by Juan Puerta at Finca La Sirena , represent a new era of Colombian coffee – precisely processed, sensorially exceptional and with a clear identity.
